Abel possessed an obedient, humble heart. That heart led to the sacrifice that became the action of faith that still speaks today. May we all have the courage to act out our faith, do the right thing, and leave a legacy that speaks long after we are gone.

Let’s pray today for the healing strength we need from the Lord to step out of atrophy against all odds and into the full life we are meant to live as God’s children.

My toddler nephew hates long lines. To him, twenty minutes is a rough draft of eternity! He can’t anticipate the reward on the other end of the line. Certain moments are worth waiting for if our hearts are mature enough to anticipate the reward at the end of the line.
The reality is that, as humans, we can’t truly fathom eternity. We know that God has provided eternal life to those who trust in His Son Jesus, but understanding the weight of eternity is beyond our comprehension.
