Devotional Archives for Your Daily Prayer

Humility is truly a gift from the Father. As humans, just like the fruit of the Spirit, it is difficult to walk continually in this godly trait. We need God’s help, His grace. To be granted His heavenly grace gifts, we must become humble before the throne of God.

May we be people so consumed with delighting in the Lord’s will for our own lives, focusing on our unique assignment, that we don’t have to waste our energy worrying about what others are doing.

Whether small and irritating or absolutely devastating and life-changing, we all have many moments in our lives that drop us to our knees as we pour out our cries to the Lord.

Honestly, it's easy to worry these days, especially with the news at our fingertips and a steady constant stream of information at our disposal.

When it comes to praying for your friends, be passionate, asking God to do whatever it takes for them to receive His gift of new life. This truly is a life-or-death situation, where nothing on earth is more important for them than having their sins paid in full by the blood of the Lamb.

The Lord is our shield, our glory, the lifter of our head, and He will hear our every cry and He will answer. We must speak these words of truth and strengthen our faith based on our understanding of who God is and how He has helped us in the past.

There will always be something or someone threatening to distract us from our joy. We must choose daily to fight the good fight of faith. To remember the joy we have in Jesus.

Have you ever really messed up in your life? Not something unimportant or easy to correct, but in a way, it can’t be easily made right or fixed at all, something that can't be erased, redone, or even forgotten? If so, it's a horrible and devastating feeling for most individuals.

For the last two years, I’ve wondered why my walk with the Lord felt dry. I’d find myself almost daily asking, “how did I get here”? Yet, for some reason, I never took it farther than that. I kept chugging along, doing life and feeling dry, almost empty, if you will.

Even if God doesn’t do what we want it is still God who is at work in our lives.
