We are valuable to God and can be sure He will take care of our every need by recalling His faithfulness right now and in the past (Matthew 10:31).
Though we are not all called to be great leaders like Charles Stanley on a public platform, we are called to minister as such in our daily lives, to the people we place in them.
God’s desire isn’t just for us to control our tongues but to deal with the root problem of loose lips, our hearts. In Matthew, 12:34-35 Jesus tells us that what is in our hearts will determine how we speak and act.
Setbacks are hard. But they aren’t permanent. Jesus is in it with us, compassionate towards our pain.
God makes a way when we face impossible situations. At times, he calms the storms, and other times, he calms us.
Whatever brings on these feelings of despair, we can begin by praying against it and seeking help from God.
Ultimately, we must remember our joy is not anchored in this life, but most importantly, in the life to come. Our joy must be based on looking to God and to the inheritance we will receive in heaven.
We draw near to God through faith in Jesus Christ. The resiliency we so desperately need comes through this drawing near to him.
