2 Corinthians 9:12-15

“For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. By their approval of this service, theywill glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!”

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

In this passage, Paul is talking to the Corinthians about the ministry of financial giving and how it glorifies God and how deeply it ministers to those receiving the gift.

As he talks about the joy of giving and receiving and how God provides what we need to be generous toward others, Paul bursts out in this exclamation of enthusiastic thanksgiving to God for his supreme gift to us.

Paul spends a lot of time in his letters describing God’s grace, but as his heart fills up with emotion over what God has done for us in Christ Jesus, he can’t put into words what it means to him.

Take some time right now and just think and meditate on what the Lord Jesus has done for you.
