Without Excuse
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Romans 1:20-21
The universe is incredible! The heavens declare the glory of God: the sun, the moon, the stars, the grass and trees. God even created ants! They know when the winter is coming, and they prepare in the summer. Man is like an ant in the vast universe. Yet man asserts, “There is no God!”
However, there is a Designer––God. Understand, the earth and all its creatures did not just suddenly evolve. God created mankind with intelligence, in His image; man was not created senseless. God is known to man instinctively.
God brought an indictment against man––inexcusable ignorance. As God has shown His glory to them, they cannot get away with any simple excuses. People are not ignorant, and they have no excuses. Everyone has a conscience, knowing what is right and wrong. All people have knowledge of God; it is clearly seen in His creation. God had clearly presented it to them.
Men were also guilty of insolence and of being unthankful. They blatantly refused to worship God their Creator. People are so foolish when God remains unwanted in their lives; their hearts are darkened (Jeremiah 17:9).
