Your Will Be Done

“Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
Matthew 6:10

At this point in Jesus’ Sermon, His disciples were taught to pray for His kingdom to come and for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Christians are to petition for God’s kingdom to come and for God’s will to be done––not their own will. Each of us can fulfill God’s perfect will in our lives in giving, worship, prayers, fellowship and the study of God’s Word––that is the will of God.

Are you praying for the kingdom of God to come? Christians are living in the last days. The next prophetic event to happen on God’s calendar is the Rapture of the Church. The greatest key to Jesus’ return and the Rapture is the rebirth of the nation of Israel. The Jews are back in their land. Then Ezekiel 38-39 will happen, which brings about the last seven years of world history. This leads right into the Second Coming of Christ. He will set up the kingdom age and rule and reign for a thousand years.

Jesus, at the Second Coming, will return with His saints. They shall come back with Him on white horses to the battle of Armageddon. He will wipe out His enemies. In the Valley of Megiddo, there will be about 180 to 200 miles of blood, five feet deep! After this battle, Jesus will enter Jerusalem and set up a 45-day judgment for the nations of the world. Jesus will separate the goats from the sheep; those who worshipped the antichrist and took his mark will go on His left side, but Jews and Gentiles who never took the mark of the beast and survived the Tribulation period will be placed on His right side (Matthew 25).

Those on His right side will be granted to physically live in His kingdom on earth. They will be given another opportunity to serve Him. After the thousand year period, Satan will be released from the bottomless pit. He will deceive certain nations to rebel against God. They, along with the devil, the false prophet, and death, will be cast into the Lake of Fire. Real worshipers will inherit eternity (Revelation 20).

Choosing God's will is a personal choice of each of us. Choosing His will as He has already and continues to show it to us is a pattern of daily living. Dramatic life change results!
