The Resurrection

(…God the Father who raised Him [Christ] from the dead)…
Galatians 1:1

The Resurrection is the most central theme in the New Testament. Without the Resurrection, we have no Gospel at all. Take a good look at the theology Paul wrote to the Romans. Read and consider the full impact of the Resurrection:

Romans 1:1-4: Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

Roman 4:24-25: It shall be imputed to us [righteousness] who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.

Romans 6:8-9: Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him.

Imagine, Jesus died for our sins and rose again to justify you and me through our faith in Jesus Christ. Consider everything Christ has done for us. We never need to fear death again. Paul with all confidence said: We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).

Are you fully persuaded that Christ has risen from the dead? If you do not know Jesus Christ as you Savior, perhaps it is time for you to fully believe in Him? Consider Christ’s own powerful words…

“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
~John 11:25-26~
