Justified by Faith

“We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.”
Galatians 2:15-16

Paul stated the obvious. Jews and Gentiles were justified by faith, not by keeping any works of the Law. A person is saved by faith through the grace of God–– that is the key to salvation. Look up and think about these important Scriptures. They all speak the truth about being justified by faith.

Habakkuk 2:4: “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith.”

Romans 1:16-17: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

Galatians 3:11: But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”

Hebrews 10:38: “Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”

The whole theme in the Old Testament and in the New Testament is that we are justified by faith, not by works at all. In your life, do you have a saving faith, a faith that is placed in Christ alone?

Saving faith is an immediate relation to Christ, accepting, receiving, resting upon Him alone, for justification, sanctification, and eternal life by virtue of God's grace.
