Justification by Faith

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.” But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”
Galatians 3:10-11

Again here we find one of the greatest Scriptures in the New Testament: …for “the just shall live by faith.” This Scripture is recorded elsewhere in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. It is found here in Galatians 3:11, but is also recorded in Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:16-17, and Hebrews 10:38. It is clearly evident that no one can be saved by the Law. Why? …for “the just shall live by faith.” There the truth is!

For “the just shall live by faith” means, “He who is just, because of his faith, shall live forever and ever with God.” Why? Those who have believed by faith in Jesus Christ have received an eternal inheritance:

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise… (Ephesians 1:11-13).

Paul also quoted from the book of Leviticus 18:5. Why? The Law requires works. What does the Law do? It condemns and brings the wrath of God upon a person, but faith which believes in Jesus Christ makes a person right with God.

Salvation is received as you place your trust in Christ Jesus. He was the One crucified for you! Salvation is a great gift of God! It is not about your own merits or works. God gives you the opportunity to repent and accept Jesus as your Savior. No one is justified by works; it is a justification through faith.

The doctrine of justification is the foundation that supports all of the other benefits we receive from Christ.
