A Saved Remnant

Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, the remnant will be saved. For He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness, because the LORD will make a short work upon the earth.”
Romans 9:27-28

Underline this Scripture in your Bibles. It is important to understand that not all people in Israel will be saved––only a remnant. The Scriptures speak of only a third of those who will be saved:

“And it shall come to pass in all the land,” says the LORD, “that two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die, but one-third shall be left in it: I will bring the one-third through the fire, will refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘This is My people’; and each one will say, ‘The LORD is my God.’ ” (Zechariah 13:8-9).

There will only be a short time when God will pour out His Holy Spirit on Israel. Even though God loves Israel, and millions of people are living in the nation, only a remnant will be saved. This prophetic event will happen 31/2 years into the peaceful rule of the Antichrist. After he declares himself to be God, he demands to be worshiped and the Jews will be persecuted (Daniel 9:27, 2; Thessalonians 2:4).

I believe that only a remnant of those in the Church will be taken in the Rapture to be with the Lord––believers walking in obedience. Those left behind will have to endure the Tribulation period. They have a choice to either be beheaded for Christ or to take the mark of the beast and be lost eternally (Revelations 20:4).

Romans 9:27-28, also speaks about the future. God has a number of Gentiles that are going to be saved, and then the end will come. Being an evangelist is really incredible; I watch people get saved. After every altar call, I always wonder, Maybe this is the one saved person to make up the number. Then Jesus will come to take His Church out of the world!

Man stands on the brink of Hell. The forces building up in our world are so overwhelming that man everywhere is beginning to cry out in desperation: “What must I do to be saved?”
