Inseparable from God’s Love

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:35-39

Paul gave an incredible truth to us in this passage of Scripture! Jesus loves us! There is a surety in our hearts of His love for us, so nothing should separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Not any sickness, tribulation, distress, pestilences or persecution, or even death––nothing should separate us!

Yet what has taken some people away from the love of Christ? How many Christians are not in church in fellowship with other believers because of what they are going through? Seriously, only one thing can separate us from God, and that is our unbelief––not believing in the promises of God.

Paul quoted from Psalm 44:22: Yet for Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. If you want to see yourself in the correct light, here it is. A Christian willingly dies to self and thinks of others. Believers are to be ready to give their life for Christ as they identify themselves to be as a lamb before the slaughter.

Death cannot separate you from the true love of Jesus Christ. His incredible love is there no matter what happens in your life. Know without a shadow of a doubt that God loves and cares for you! Be persuaded that nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

Believe steadfastly on Him [Christ] and everything that challenges you will strengthen your faith. There is continual testing in the life of faith up to the point of our physical death, which is the last great test. Faith is absolute trust in God––trust that could never imagine that He would forsake us.
