. . . And the train of His robe filled the temple. (Isaiah 6:1b)
At weddings you may have noticed some brides who wore long trains with their dresses. When Lady Diana married Prince Charles at St. Paul’s Cathedral, her 25-foot train followed in behind her as she stood at the altar. That is the same image Isaiah referred to in this passage. There was so much of God’s train that every empty space in the temple was full of His presence. The glory of the Lord was in every conceivable nook and cranny. Similarly, there is no place in God’s creation that does not bear His glory.
