He shall cover you with His feathers . . . (Psalm 91:4)

In a particular study, some researchers riveted their attention on a particular nest of eagles. The feathered pair had a little male eaglet. On the eaglet’s 67th day, it tried to fly down from the nest, but things began to go wrong. It looked as if the eaglet was going to crash, but then its parents pulled alongside and stabilized it by covering it with their wings and tail feathers. Similarly, when it looks like we’re about to crash and burn, the grace and goodness of God says, “I will cover you and stabilize you.”
