Therefore God also has highly exalted Him. (Philippians 2:9)
Christ steps down as God to become man, but then He steps up in resurrection. Our Lord’s exaltation began with His resurrection. When men buried the body of Jesus, that was the last thing any human hands did to Him. Men had done their worst to the Savior, but then God highly exalted Him. Indeed, the resurrection of Christ should not be celebrated only once a year on Easter or once a month with the Lord’s Supper. Jesus has stayed up every day.
