. . . that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

      (2 Timothy 3:17)

The apostle Paul was speaking to his young apprentice, Timothy, about being equipped with the Word so that when people came against the church with false teachings, he could stand up to them. Likewise, if you study the Bible, God will equip you for service. God will give you everything you need to serve Him the right way. “Good work,” however, is not always preaching and teaching, serving children and youth, or standing at the door welcoming people. Sometimes it is God instilling within you an infrastructure that will keep you standing when everyone else is falling down.
