“Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.”

                 (Jeremiah 1:9)

The Bible that we hold is not merely the work of a religious genius. Jeremiah was not a better version of a Beethoven or a Picasso. He was not inventing this word. From the beginning of his ministry, God said, “I will put My words [not your own words or the congregation’s words] in your mouth.” It is not without consequence that God spoke to Jeremiah. They are indeed His words in the prophet’s mouth. In the same way, you cannot arrogantly say to God, “I will put my words in Your mouth.”
