Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord,

                the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day.

                                       (2 Timothy 4:8)


Here, a final note is sounded: this imperishable crown awaits not only Paul, but all who wait with expectation for the coming of the King. The joy of Paul is open to every person who also fights that fight, finishes the race and keeps the faith. The one whose life is dedicated to Christ is indifferent to the verdict of men. He cares not if they condemn him, so long as he hears his Master’s words of approval: “Well done, My good and faithful servant.”
