What kind of works are we undertaking to win God’s approval? There are not enough good things we can do to guarantee God’s grace. Instead, grace is a gift given to the undeserving. That’s what’s so amazing about grace. We receive grace to prevent us from assuming responsibility for our salvation. Since salvation is so completely God’s work and human achievement is so conclusively ruled out, it is little wonder why there’s no room for human boasting. All praise must be given to God and His grace alone.
