Engaged Decisions

Healthy organizations realize that it’s important for decisions to be made after employees actively debate and discuss pending issues. If 70% of a workplace is not engaged, according to Gallup’s employee engagement research, then it’s very likely that they will not be passionate enough to stand up for their views.

This leads to many decisions being made in a vacuum, without the viewpoints necessary to make good decisions. If you’ve ever been in a meeting with lethargic people being asked to decide on something they really didn’t care about, you know what I mean.

Proverbs 19:2 teaches, “Desire without knowledge is not good— how much more will hasty feet miss the way!”

If you desire to make good decisions, start with engaging your team in the work enough to obtain their knowledge.
