Rebellion in the Workplace

The prophet Samuel led Israel for years. As he aged, however, the people feared Samuel’s wicked sons becoming the next leaders, so the people asked Samuel to appoint them a king.
Samuel took their rebellion as a personal affront against him, but God revealed a different viewpoint. In 1 Samuel 8:7 we read, “And the Lord told him; ‘Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king.”
Sometimes leaders have to address rebellion of their employees. We can easily take it personal and react irrationally.
Sometimes it might be personal, but many times it’s them rejecting God’s appointed authority over them. This distinction may help you carry out any necessary discipline more rationally.
