I believe that everyone in God’s Family can do what God wants them to do. I don't believe we can do everything that we think we can do. For example I don't think that I can stop teaching and go to the Dallas Cowboy training camp this spring and make the team. I don't care how many positive thoughts I have, my mental visioning of being a NFL quarterback is not going to make it happen. Disney doesn't get it right when they tell us to dream upon a star. God does get it right when He blesses each of us with unique gifts and a special role to play in Christ's family. We discover our gifts when we get close to Him, read His Word, talk to Him in prayer, and then actually do the things He tells us to do. When we do these things, Jesus will lead us to the sweet spot. That's where the skills He has actually gives to us and our internal desires actually meet. The lazy person in Proverbs chases fantasies in their head, but never gets out there on the streets of real life. Instead of finding their sweet spot in God's plan, they find themselves enslaved in poverty and shame.
“Okay, I’ve got a dream. How am I going to get from point A to point B?” That’s when you start to get off the dime. “If I want that, what’s it going to take to get it done?”
