Christ died once for sins, the just for the unjust that He might bring us to God, but there’s still suffering. There’s still affliction, there’s still tribulation that Jesus is experiencing. What is He doing? And He tells us the key. The Apostle Paul believes that the Colossians had become Christ’s body. The exalted resurrected Christ that is now at the right hand of God is present on earth and those that believe in Him have become part of His body. Do you believe that? If you’ve received Christ as your Savior, if you’ve trusted in Jesus, Christ joined Himself with you which gives us a hint of what Paul’s going to tell us is the content of the mystery. What it means is this: everything that happens to you, everything, every illness you get, every persecution when people malign you or hurt you, every set back financially, Jesus feels that, thinks that, lives that with you.
