This Will Reveal a Great Deal about You
How we respond when someone calls us out for our sin reveals whether or not our heart is in the right place with God.
Guest (Male): Open the Bible with Colin Smith.
Colin Smith: When Nathan the prophet confronted King David about his adultery, the king said, "I have sinned against the Lord." Now, David could have said, "Hey Nathan, you don't understand. My marriage has been dead for years," and that may have been true. Or he could have said, "Nathan, I know it was wrong, but others have done worse," and that would also have been true.
But David did not use any of these excuses. He said, "I have sinned against the Lord." Would you have said that? See, how you respond to the word of God when your sin is revealed will say a great deal about you. David found that honest confession led to forgiveness from God, and the same will be true for you today.
Guest (Male): Is there someone in your life who needs to know the God of the Bible and might be open to take a journey through the Bible with you? Invite them to openthebible.org.
