Q & A: Can a Christian Be Demon-Possessed?
A: No, a Christian cannot be demon-possessed. 1 John 4:4 says: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” The one that’s in us is the Holy Spirit. Again and again we’re told that if you’re a child of God, you’re indwelt by the Spirit of God. Paul put it very bluntly when He said, “If any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his” (Romans 8:9). That’s one of the marvelous, wonderful possessions and great comforts that we have today. Now, do you believe that the Holy Spirit would indwell an individual along with a demon? I don’t think so! The Lord Jesus gave a very interesting parable in Matthew 12:43-45. He said that a demon went out of a certain man, and then the man got all cleaned up, but he was a vacant house. Then the demon came back and brought his friends with him. So the last state of the man was worse than the first. Why? Well, because the man was cleaned up, but he wasn’t indwelt by the Spirit of God. You see, that is the thing that’s essential today: To know that you are indwelt by the Spirit of God. That’s a great comfort today, friends, and is one that I’m sure should comfort your heart and your mind.

Isaiah 36, 37
In chapters 36 and 37 of our study of Isaiah, we leave what our teacher, Dr. J. Vernon McGee, calls the “high plane of prophecy” and descend into “the record of history.” Join us as we see the transfer of power from Assyria to Babylon and take a look at two important letters received by King Hezekiah during his reign.
