January 30, 2012
Parents have a huge responsibility when it comes to raising their kids. As we get into Ephesians 6:4, Pastor Jeff explains that the mother and father each have unique and fulfilling roles as parents. Sadly, many couples today are choosing not to have children. Yes, many trials come with parenthood; but God says that the “fruit of the womb is His reward.”

Paul’s words aren’t just for adults. In today’s study, Pastor Jeff reminds us that God is speaking to our kids, too! Obedience is a key part of scripture, and our children are to follow this command. "As the home goes, so goes the nation.” Today, Pastor Jeff reminds us that just because our kids are in church and Christian school doesn’t mean they’re safe from sin. Our children are walking around with big targets on their backs. Satan doesn’t want your children to grow up loving the Lord — he wants to tear them down spiritually.

As we finish our study on the husband’s duties in marriage, Pastor Jeff teaches us that actions are more important than words. You must act out your faith rather than just talk about it. Husbands, are you leading your home in the way of the Lord? Are you setting a godly example for your children? It’s not all about you — it’s about caring for your wife and family.
