Me, A Donkey? Part 3

April 11, 2014
Jesus: The Son of God, made his trimphal entry on a donkey.  The Romans saw this as comical, but as we've discovered in our previous lesson, this demonstrates the humility of God.  Today, we will end part 3 of our study on the trimphal entry of Christ.

Luke 14:11 says, "Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."  There is no greater picture of this, then that of Jesus in the scriptures.  While kings and rulers rode into cities with there black stallions... A horrific event called "The Great Tribulation" is in the near future. The earth we live in will be hit with plagues, which will bring anguish upon men and women. But while this dreadful event takes place, Christians will be safe in Heaven. Having an understanding of these things, should stir up Christians to share the truth with non-believers. Jude 22 says "On some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire".Stay tuned as we continue our study in Revelation, Chapter 6.

The renown scientist Sir Isaac Newton came to the conclusion that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.  This is not only a law in science, but also a spiritual truth God has set up in His word.  Galatians 6:7 says, "Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.  For he who sows to his flesh will reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life."  We'll learn more about this truth today, as we continue our study in Revelation Chapter six with Pastor Jeff Johnson.

When Jesus walked the earth; He would often speak about a real literal place called Hell, and the solution to avoiding it.  Knowing that sin brings eternal death; He willingly died on the cross to deliver man, providing a free gift of salvation.  But many still reject this gift, bringing eternal damnation on there own souls.  Today on Sound Doctrine, we will study a passage of scripture in Revelation chapter six, and learn about a future consequence that will come from rejecting Jesus Christ.
