With the election season in full force it can become discouraging, when we look to the presidential candidates for hope. Today on Sound Doctrine, Pastor Jeff is encouraging us to look to the nation of Israel to see that our hope, rests in God.

Pastor Jeff is using Paul’s example, as a motivation for us to reach the lost that are caught up in the false religion of Islam. When Jesus called Peter, James, and John he said he would make them “fishers of men”. That vocation is still applicable to us today. He knew nothing on earth, or in heaven could separate us from our heavenly Father. Many of us need to be reminded of this incredible truth, and promise. Joseph was a young man, but not exempt from big problems. His brothers hated him, sold him, and he ended up getting thrown in prison.
