Being A Christian While Being On Campus, Part 3

September 13, 2013
Of all the environments of opposition to the believer who wants to proclaim and defend the Faith, the world of academia has to be by far the most challenging.  Sometimes we experience subtle resistance, sometimes blatant hostility! In any event, do we know how to handle the situation?

Daze Of Deception
Jesus warned that deception would grow worse as we draw nearer to the end times, saying, “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4). Distinguishing truth from error has become increasingly challenging—even in the church. We live in a time when falsehoods assault us from every direction. Packaged with just enough truth to make them appear trustworthy, these counterfeits have grown more and more difficult to detect and avoid. Living in the Daze of Deception explores the many ways error is masquerading as truth—and you’ll learn how you can discern the difference.

An overall understanding of Scripture reveals that-as Jesus Himself put it-there are few who find the road to eternal life. To merely “have faith” is simply not good enough; Each of us needs to put his faith in the only One who is able to save.

When someone claims that he has no fear of death, well, heʼs just not telling the truth! The fact is we all fear that inevitable day (Of course, if we trust the Person and work of the Son of God, we donʼt have to fear death!). Yet for unbelievers, they somehow knowdeep down that there is an afterlife. And if theyʼre honest, they must admit that they will face their Maker and give an account.
