Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

There is a fascination today with prolonging one’s life. We’re exercising more (at least some of us) and for the most part, people are trying to take better care of themselves. We are seeking to improve the quality of life and perhaps even to extend the length of life.
But the fact is, and we all know it’s true, that 100 years from now, not one of us will be here. We will all be in eternity—hopefully—and we will be standing before a Holy God. What we’ve done in this life will determine our eternal destiny, and it can be a sobering thought.
All of us must deal with the issue of life, death, and eternity. And that’s what the resurrection is about. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the central focal point of the Christian faith. It is the resurrection that separates the Christian faith from all of the religions in the world. Because Christ is alive!
That is the profound and poignant message that has revolutionized the world—not only historically, but personally. Each one of us who have experienced the Lord Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection know that this miracle can happen to us.
The question Jesus asked Martha so long ago is the question that still comes resonating through the centuries. The Bible tells us that apart from a relationship with God through Jesus Christ our spiritual condition is death. God made you with a specific purpose in mind and that purpose is to know Him and experience His presence day by day forever and ever.

THE RESURRRECTION OF CHRIST JESUS.
