According to the Bible, God knows us while we are “yet unformed,” while we are being “made in secret,” in a place invisible to human eyes and it assures us that there is, indeed, a person present before birth. Scripture does assume a continuity of life from before the time of birth to after the time of birth, so who are we to think that we have the right to say a baby in the womb is not a person and proceed to snuff it out?

The abortion issue is front and center in this presidential race. In other presidential elections the conservative candidates have promised to keep fighting for life, but in this 2016 race we actually have a GOP candidate that wants to tackle the Roe v. Wade head on to reverse it if he is elected president. Most will agree that 43 years later since its enactment and the death of 60 million lives it is way overdue to be reversed. If you are eligible to vote in this election you are voting to kill or not to kill the unborn.

The Supreme Court Justices are appointed to office for life providing they have good behavior, so if the majority of them are liberal/progressive [aka atheists], who are in power for the duration of their life, they would create even greater devastation than what we have had since 1962 and 1963 when prayer and the Bible were taken out of the public school system. Also, we have witnessed the horror with the legalization of abortion in 1973 and the so-called “same-sex marriage” ruling of 2015. The Supreme Court does matter.

In the third and final 2016 presidential debate, the first issue that was brought up was in relation to the U.S. Supreme Court. By now Christians and all Americans should know the importance of the SCOTUS since several of its decisions have drastically changed our countries culture generationally. What more can we expect with the appointment of new U.S. Supreme Court Justices by the upcoming president?

In these elections, we are witnessing a little more increase in Christian involvement because they know that only biblical principles can restore our nation and us. The law also allows the church pulpits to invite candidates from political parties to speak about their views and the congregants respectfully engage in a time of questions and answers. These elections are not just for a president; we have county, city, and state legislators, governors, judges, sheriffs, and school boards to consider. When pastors refuse to biblically teach congregants on the critical issues that affect the present and future generations, not only is it morally wrong but plain rebellion against God’s commandments.

Christians are losing their freedoms and the nation to unbiblical principles. Don’t expect the non-believers to promote virtue and morality when the liberal mindset has been dominating for over 150 years. The “secularists” have lied and fixed their statistics about everything to push their agenda forward, demanding more for them and less for their opposition; they have changed America’s original history and crushed Christianity, and the nation has become fearful of what they think, what they say verbally or in their writings. People and governments that disagree with the left are pushed to submission by the threats if anything they say is considered offensive, insensitive, racist, sexist, homophobic, or Islamophobic and they are always coming up with more blockages to immobilize critical thinking and actions that would expose their falsehoods. How do we effectively fight back?

When the teaching of God’s Word gets diluted, it damages the spiritual, intellectual and emotional life of the believer. It is up to every believer in Christ to accept the fact that with the new life comes the personal responsibility to know the God and Jesus Christ of the Bible and to understand how the biblical principles apply to every area of life. Failure to comprehend the Full Counsel of God removes the believer from a productive life and engagement on a daily basis. It is not acceptable for God’s people to be biblically uneducated.

A little over two hundred years ago the nation was still mindful of Christianity, but the pulpits of the churches began to stop paying attention of what was being developed right before their eyes when the Federal government was created. Little did they know it was to become such a great dominating power that would engulf future generations proving that the experiment of government had failed and would become no different than any other system that ruled the nations or kingdoms for thousands of years. America is now under a great reality check, and it will take hard work by committed people to reverse this trend, and one thing remains certain it is not the end of the world.

The only difference in this presidential election is that things in the nation are much worse than before, it is the outcome of every past generation that has made the same mistakes leaving a legacy of problems to the next generation, by their attitude of kicking the can down the road.
