The outcome of these mid-term elections shows a ray of hope for the United States of America. It is a ray of hope with an enormous responsibility. The huge voter turnout clearly shows that people who were slumbering have awakened and acted upon their civic duty. The message from "We the People" was loud and clear, "let's clean house." No one should be more in the forefront to lead this charge as God's people should. The elections were only the initial step toward accomplishing the reclaiming of America.

Election Day! Are you a Christian and a U.S. citizen? Did you vote? It is way over due for Christians to take responsibility for the condition of America. We cannot continue to blame anyone else but ourselves. We are God's stewards; the ungodly to not have this responsibility. God makes us, the Bible believing Christians, responsibility for the outcome of the elections, and for what we do after the election season.

In American society when people hear the word “tyranny” they associate it with a despot ruling his country by force due to absolute power. Since America became a nation Americans have not experienced giving absolute power to one man. However, very few know that tyranny not necessarily does it have to do with one individual having unrestrained exercise of power. Do you know how else tyranny manifests?

Do we make impossible demands from our public servants and force them to lie just so they can get elected? Do they understand that they are not to meet the needs of people but serve out of love and sacrifice for the common good? Jesus said whoever wants to be great must be the servant of all.

The human race has a tendency to believe in the redemption of men by men. They believe the grandiose promises that fall from the lips of politicians when they promise to usher in a prosperous chapter under their leadership. They do their best to paint a picture of an attainable paradise. But all these kingdoms have collapsed in shame and defeat. Can these vicious cycles be avoided?

God will never accept double standards from anyone, least of all his people. When we create a double standard we are putting other gods before Him and that is a direct violation and insult to his divinity and we will reap the consequences because God will always guard his truth and order with zealous vigilance.

Jesus said the light is among you. If the light is among us then how does a people fall into darkness? It happens when we reject God's knowledge. People hate the light when they do evil deeds. As a nation we have accepted the wrong definition of freedom that doing what we want in all areas of life because it feels good or brings us pleasure is the right way to live, but, how does that measure up to God's standards? Are we groping in darkness through our own doing?

We are seeing how chaos and confusion are increasing in our nation more and more; we have to ask ourselves, has our nation as a whole chosen the way of darkness? If so, what can we do to change that?

How does a nation choose darkness? It does it by betraying good intellectualism, the good rules in the economy, falls into immorality and corruption in all of its institutions including the church. The majority of its citizens choose to detour from the path of God's truth and the principles He has given us for good government in the personal realm, in family and for society as a whole.

God is the only One who has the master plan for the proper function of the human race. He has established commandments that are not options but orders. The tenth commandment is "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's," Exodus 20:17. Is the soul of America poisoned with greed?

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.

About Nena Arias

Nena Arias

Is one of thirteen siblings; born, raised and educated in California. She was brought up in a Christian home, however her personal commitment to Christ happened at the age of seventeen which also included a simultaneous call to missionary work which she embraced with her whole heart. She answered this call and up until the present is actively involved in ministry alongside her husband, Ramon. Nena is an accomplished singer/minister and conference speaker. Her ministry for the last 40 years has taken her to several continents and nations such as, Mexico, Central and South America, Africa, Middle East, Europe, Canada and all across the continental United States and Hawaii.
