Author Mac Dominick was one of the featured speakers at last October's Prophecy in the News Live event. There he gave an excellent talk entitled Rise, Rule and Return of the old Gods. Today, we're going to listen to the conclusion of this outstanding presentation.

Mac Dominick: As we go forward with part two, as we know from history, after the fall of the Roman Empire, or during the time of the fall of the Roman Empire, Europe became primarily Christian as the gospel spread by the apostle Paul and by Barnabas and Silas and Timothy and the other Christians that were saved. The ones that were saved about the ones that left Jerusalem with the martyrdom of Stephen, they went all over the Middle East and into Europe spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Christianity became the dominant religion of the Western world. Now we realize in places like India, China, Africa, and at that time, even the Americas were still very much pagan, but Christianity spread like a flood over Western civilizations.

What was happening and what happened to the worship of the gods? Because all of a sudden here, you had all the Roman gods that were supposedly the most powerful gods on earth because they gave Rome the ability to create this expansive empire. What happened to them? Where did they go? Did Jesus kill them when he rose from the dead? No, we'll find out that that is not the case. What did happen, and this is an obvious answer to the question, is that the gods started retreating from the Western world.

As Christianity spread, the gods retreated into the shadows. Now why is this? Because what did Christians have in the dispensation of the church that the Old Testament saints did not have? The indwelling Holy Spirit. By the power of the Holy Spirit, the gods, which were nothing more than evil entities, fallen entities, fallen angels, whatever you want to call them, could not stand up to the Holy Spirit of God that indwell Christians.

They retreated from the Western world. As Christianity spread, the power of the Lord Jesus Christ, the new power, as it spread into the West, the gods retreated and made themselves scarce. They retreated into the shadows. What shadows did they retreat into? I'm going to give you two primary places the old gods had to have gone, and I'll give you a hint. It's two places that Mica already talked about earlier.

We're going to talk about two main entities that Mica talked about, and that's good because now I don't have to spend a lot of time explaining a lot that Mica has already dealt with. We're going to talk about first of all, the gods retreated into the shadows of the Roman Catholic Church. Why in the world would the gods go into the church? I'm going to give you a little bit of history. Mica talked about Constantine and how Constantine wanted to control the religion of the people of the empire. Mica was right.

Constantine remained a pagan all his life. His goal was to unite a fragmenting empire and hold things together, and he saw Christianity with the rapid spread that the world was experiencing with Christianity as a way he could hold the empire together. Two emperors later, an emperor by the name of Theodosius the Great came to power. Theodosius the Great was a Christian and he did something that by all indications, he thought was the right thing to do. He made Christianity the official religion of the empire.

Not only did he do that, he made church attendance compulsory. If you didn't go to church, you were executed. Wow, that probably did wonders for the spiritual character of the church members, right? I mean, my goodness. Pagan temples became Catholic churches. Statues of Jupiter became statues of Peter. Statues of Isis and Venus became statues of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The statues of Isis and Horus became statues of the mother and child, Mary and the baby Jesus. What happened here is the old gods retreated into the shadows of the church and guess what happened. Now the Christians were coming into these churches and they started bowing at the feet of these images of the old gods. So the old gods were still being worshipped. They still were getting the glory and the Christians didn't know any better.

Now the pagans could go in and fall at the feet of these statues and still revere their old gods and live to tell about it tomorrow. That's what happened. This was at best case, this was a major breakdown in discernment by Theodosius the Great, although you know what they say about the best intentions. We can't make a judgment on what really happened with Theodosius, but the results we can see very plainly. Pagan temples became Roman Catholic churches and all these images that are still around, especially in the Catholic churches in Europe, were the images of pagan gods that became images of Christian saints.

That's how it all evolved. This led to the false doctrines that crept into the Roman Catholic Church almost immediately. That included the adoration of Mary, which is nothing more than goddess worship. The mother and child worship, just like Isis and Horus. Also, they came up with things like papal infallibility, purgatory, transubstantiation, salvation by works, then ultimately the sale of indulgences, leading to the Inquisition and the church being equal to the kingdom of God.

All of this happened because the old gods found a resting place within the shadows of the church. After a while, they didn't want to stay in the shadows and they started promoting themselves still in a very clandestine way. Remember the Bible says, and I can't remember if Mica or someone else said it, that Satan shows himself as an angel of light. He is highly deceptive. A highly deceptive thing started happening later on in the Roman Catholic Church, and that was the Marian apparitions.

If you go to Wikipedia, it's real interesting. You can go to Wikipedia and there is a Wikipedia page that gives approximately 43, I believe, Marian apparitions and the descriptions of each one of them. Now the Vatican has only officially sanctioned and approved 16 apparitions as being true, but there are 43 that Wikipedia gives the description of. You go through and you look at those and you come to conclusions fairly quickly. There are a lot of things they have in common.

In every instance of every apparition, and these are the appearances of Mary as a woman with long blond hair, the most beautiful woman they'd ever seen, and she appears as a vapor, as a mist or in a spot of light or ever how it is, Mary appears to someone and she demands worship of herself. One of the most common things is she asked for the saying of the rosary, the Hail Marys and so forth as they count the rosary beads. Again, that is worship and adoration of this entity that they think is Mary.

There was one instance where she asked them to cast a medal with her image on it. I'm assuming it was a big bronze plaque-like thing with her image, and one of the apparitions demanded that the people that saw her do that. And they did that. Also, they were supposed to build churches in her honor. Something doesn't sound right here to me because with the gospel of Jesus Christ, there is only one person that is to be praised and glorified. Who is that? Jesus.

In none of these apparitions ask for the praise and glory of the Son of God. They're all lifting up this female entity which says that she is Mary. That tells us right out of the shoot that something is amiss there. I want to go over with you one of the most well-known apparitions, and that is the apparitions at Fatima. At Fatima, there were three children. Lucia was the oldest child and there were two other cousins that were there.

This apparition of Mary at Fatima appeared on the 13th of the month from March to August of 1917. This apparition of Mary was well known. She basically told the children to say the rosary. She predicted the end of World War I. She predicted the conversion of Russia and some other things that came along with what she was telling these children. This one was verified by the Vatican. This was in 1917, but here's something you don't hear a lot about.

Before these children saw the apparition of Mary appear to them monthly here in 1917, they saw an apparition of an angel that appeared to them in 1916. This angel told them to expect the coming of the Queen of Heaven that would appear to them in the following year. This angel identified himself as the Angel of Peace, but he also identified himself as the Guardian Angel of Portugal. Let's think about this. What did we say happened at the Tower of Babel when God said, "Okay, Gentile nations, you're not going to serve me and follow me, I'm going to turn you over to some other entity to guide you spiritually"?

Those entities became the recipients of the worship that was reserved for God. Here we have an angel that said he was the national Guardian Angel of Portugal. Guess what? They were talking to one of the fallen angels, one of the sons of God that we hear in Deuteronomy that became a regional deity. They were talking to a false god. He told them that the Queen of Heaven was going to appear to them. We talked about this earlier, who the Queen of Heaven was.

Mica mentioned the Queen of Heaven. Queen of Heaven can be known as Isis. We're using the name Ishtar from the Babylonian era more, but Isis, Venus, Ishtar, Astarte, all of these are the same goddess. The Queen of Heaven was going to appear to them. Let me ask you another question about this title of Queen of Heaven. If Mary was the mother of our Lord, and she was, she found grace in the sight of God, that's what the Bible says. She believed in Yahweh.

She was committed to Yahweh. How in the world would she accept the title of Queen of Heaven? Would she? I don't think so. I don't think that that would be possible because Mary knew who the Queen of Heaven was. In the book of Ezekiel, we read about the women baking cakes to the Queen of Heaven. We read in the book of Jeremiah about people worshipping the Queen of Heaven, and they are the recipients of God's wrath for worshipping the Queen of Heaven.

So the Queen of Heaven is not Mary. Now Pope Pius XII, he's the infamous Pope of World War II that let six million Jews die in the gas chambers of Germany and Poland and Austria, Pius XII made the title of Queen of Heaven official for Mary later on in the 1950s. The fact of the matter is the old gods hid out in the shadows of the church, but they started promoting themselves here a little bit at a time through Isis or through Ishtar or Inanna or whatever goddess you want to call her, who is the true Queen of Heaven.

We see the first place the old gods went was into the shadows of the Roman Catholic Church, and that's why their doctrines got so messed up and why the church, Catholicism, was led completely astray to the point that the Popes ordered the Inquisition and the slaughter of millions of innocent people. That's what we're looking at in these apparitions. Now there was another place that the gods and goddesses went. We're not going to spend a whole lot of time on it, but they went into the shadows of the secret societies.

If you listened closely to Mica's presentation, you heard the names of gods, you heard about the ancient mysteries, you heard all this terminology that he was speaking of. But the truth is from the time of Babylon, the Babylonian mysteries had an initiated, illumined elite that ran the program. Of course, we know how Freemasonry, unless you get up to a certain degree, you really don't know what's going on. I want to give you a personal story about Freemasonry here of a gentleman that I spoke with some years ago, probably back in the 1990s.

Somewhere around 1992, 1993, I was researching the New Age movement. That's kind of how I got started along the path that I am on today with all the marginal mysteries things. I was telling my brother-in-law about it, and he said, "Listen, you need to talk to this friend of mine who is also doing this research and maybe you guys can help each other." I knew of the gentleman. The small town that he lived in, he was one of the wealthiest men probably in the entire county. He was a multimillionaire.

I called him up and I started talking to him. After I convinced him that my motives were pure, he started talking to me and I said, "Well, how did you get into this?" He said, "I was a member of a certain fraternal organization and they wanted me to promote me into their upper ranks." Remember this guy was a multimillionaire. "I had to go and enroll in a course and frankly, I just got to where I was tired of reading Alice Bailey books because these books, even though I wasn't a Christian at the time, went against everything I ever learned in Sunday school."

I was blown away because Alice Bailey was the leader of the Theosophical Society. She replaced Annie Besant who replaced Helena Blavatsky who wrote the book The Secret Doctrine which was one of Hitler's bibles. Alice Bailey wrote a number of books via automatic writing. Automatic writing is you go into a transcendental, meditative trance and a spiritual entity takes over your hand and you write books that you don't even know what you're writing. Alice Bailey wrote a number of books via automatic writing.

I think that the entity, she called him Djwal Khul, was the entity that guided her, was her spirit guide that wrote these books. Don't know if he's an old god, don't know if he's a demon or another fallen angel, but it was one of the three, quite honestly. Alice Bailey wrote these books and she and her husband, Foster Bailey, Alice Bailey was a member of Co-Masonry back in the 1920s, 30s, and 40s, and her husband was a full-fledged member of Masonry. They started a company called Lucifer Publishing Company.

Yes, that Lucifer that you're thinking about was the one that it was. They later changed the name to Lucis Trust for public relations reasons. Now the Lucis Trust is a registered NGO of the United Nations with offices right down the street from the UN in New York. There are a lot of things going on there that I talk about in the book that you'll find very, very interesting and disturbing. At any rate, this guy was reading Alice Bailey books.

Alice and Foster Bailey started this educational organization called the Arcane School where you were enrolled to learn dark secrets, basically. He told me that he got tired of reading Alice Bailey books because something wasn't right. It blew me away because I knew about Alice Bailey. I knew about the occult nature of Freemasonry, but I had never put the two together. I was stunned and I said back to him, "You mean to tell me that the local Masonic lodge enrolled you in the Arcane School to promote you to the 33rd degree?"

Dead silence on the other end of the phone, probably for about 45 seconds. I thought he had hung up. He finally said in a voice that he could hardly speak, "How did you know about that? You're not supposed to know about that." I said, "Well, I've been studying. I've been studying, but I had never put the two together." That tells us all about Freemasonry we need to know, folks, because the Arcane School and the writings of Alice Bailey are straight from the pits of hell.

That's exactly what's going on in secret societies because the old gods were hiding out in the shadows. The retreating gods went into the shadows and there are other and in the book we go into a number of secret societies. We talk about the Rosicrucians, the Order of the Golden Dawn and a couple others. Very intriguing reading. All of these societies are full of dark occult secrets. That's where they went. They may have gone other places, but those are the two obvious places that the old gods went to escape the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Western world.

As time went along, you know in the Bible in the time of the judges, the children of Israel would be right before the Lord, then they'd sin and follow a false god and they'd drift away. God would send a judge and bring them back, then they'd fall away and bring them back. Well, over time, we realize since the first century, the gospel in the West has started to be shunned, especially when we get to the 18th, 19th, and 20th century. The influence of the Holy Spirit is beginning to wane a bit because people are rejecting the gospel more and more and more.

Let's jump ahead in time from the time of the formation of secret societies in the 16th, 17th centuries and come into the 1940s. Does anybody ever hear of Jack Parsons? A few of you. Jack Parsons lived from 1914 to 1952. He was an American rocket engineer and chemist. He was one of the principal founders of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Aerojet Engineering Corporation in California. He was proclaimed a consensus genius in the realm of rocket fuels and he died from a massive explosion in his home in Pasadena, California on June 16th, 1952. The truth is that Jack Parsons had a very sinister dark side.
