Level 1 faith believes in favorable conditions and strong positive emotions, but it can quickly turn to whiny faith when things go wrong. Israel exhibited this faith 40 years in the wilderness. Level 2 believes when all feelings are absent--good or bad; when there are no signs of activity neither favorable nor negative. It is a strong, steady faith that perseveres when there is no change in circumstances. This is waiting faith like Elijah had. Level 3 believes when circumstances, emotions, and all outward signs are contrary, and all hope is lost. This highest level of faith is wonder-working faith that won't flinch in the face of doom and even death.
