We Would See Jesus, Part 1

Jesus came as Israel's Messiah. Both His ministry and His disciples' were limited to the lost sheep of Israel. But after He raised Lazarus from the dead, the week before His death, the people hailed him crying, Hosanna to the Son of David!" When some Greeks who had come to Jerusalem to worship came saying, "Sir, we would see Jesus," Jesus reacted strongly, because He knew the door to the Gentiles was ready to swing wide open. On the cross He tore down the wall of partition that divided Jews and Gentiles.
If there was ever a time when people are looking for a Savior to navigate our way through the maze of racial tensions we face, it is now. American Christians must tear down the walls of prejudice and bitterness that still exist between blacks and whites. Only when we exhibit the love of Christ and keep the focus on Him, will sinners be moved to say, Friend, I want to know more about your Jesus."

The Last Blast By Sharon Hardy Knotts
It’s not a brass trumpet, but a shofar—a ram's horn. There are 4 different blasts: One was long, increasing in loudness, the one that sounded on Mt. Sinai when God spoke. God came down, and Moses went up, symbolic of the rapture of the saints. Rabbis say that Satan can’t tell the difference between the shofar & God’s voice. In Revelation, John confirmed God’s voice sounded like a shofar saying, “Come up here” typifying the rapture. Paul called it “the last trump” that will wake up the dead in Christ & summon the living to be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air. It is not the seventh trumpet of Rev. 8 as the “mid-trib” stance claims—meaning the living Church will go through the first half of the Tribulation. We have been delivered from the wrath to come!
