Throughout Hanukkah, Jews cook a wide variety of dishes including; potato pancakes, donuts with unique fillings, and many others  But the Jews are encouraged to deep-free these foods in oil.  Oil is a necessity of Hanukkah because it keeps the mnorah lit.  But it has a greater purpose.  Oil is symbolic of The Holy Spirit.  Pastor Jeff will teach more on this with a special Thanksgiving message called "Christ & Hanukkah."
