Our Hope Part 2

February 9, 2021

God has blessed us in so many ways.  One of the many blessings we enjoy as believers in Christ, is the subject of today’s broadcast.  We possess a living hope, and it cannot be adversely affected by life, death, or even a virus!  Today on Sound Doctrine that’s brought to our attention in a powerful way.  We’re just getting started with our study of First Peter, and we’re in chapter one.

Have you ever received a note of encouragement right in the midst of great suffering?  A well-spoken word at just the right time can really be helpful. You’ve probably noticed it in the books you’ve read.  Generally speaking, there’s a page or two written about the author!  That’s sort of what we’ll receive today on Sound Doctrine as we begin our series in First Peter.  We’re getting to know Peter, the author of the epistle.  And as pastor Jeff Johnson presents a character study you’ll see Peter was far from perfect and made his fair share of mistakes.  But God would still use him in great ways.
