Searching for the Seer

Then Saul said to his servant, “Well said; come, let us go.” So they went to the city where the man of God was. As they went up the hill to the city, they met some young women going out to draw water, and said to them, “Is the seer here?”
1 Samuel 9:10-11

As Saul and his servant went towards the city to search for the seer, God, without them realizing it, was working behind the scenes, directing their steps. They met some young maidens who had come to draw water. Saul was so tall and handsome, and the women detained them for some time, engaging in a long conversation, explaining in detail where they could find the seer (1 Samuel 9:12-13).

As you search the Scriptures, you will find out God’s will for your life. Understand, the Bible is the voice of God.Asyou follow God’s voice; He guides your steps, sometimes without you realizing it. When you have met a person, have you ever been aware of His plan unfolding before you? Did you suddenly realize He guided you to the right person to speak to, at the right place, and at the perfect time? Understand, there are no coincidences with God.

King David wrote Psalm 23. We can see God’s presence and His guidance throughout the different seasons of his life. Think on these verses; what season of life is God guiding you through? What comfort have you found in His presence?

The Lord is my shepherd… He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me… Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

For this is our God, our God forever and ever, He will be our guide even to death.
~Psalm 48:14~
