Some Pastors and Teachers gets its name from Ephesians 4:11 where we learn that God gave “some pastors and teachers” to the church for her care. Some Pastors and Teachers exists to equip pastors for more faithful gospel ministry. We’re doing this by creating a media platform for robustly biblical and theological content by some of the best scholars and practitioners in the world today. We long to help pastors be strengthened “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12-14). This theologically driven platform seeks to remind pastors of their primary work while calling them to the highest standards of excellence in word and deed. This is a work by pastors for pastors for the good of the churches they serve.
He grew up in Los Angeles and Seattle where, through the faithful witness of his younger brother Matt and Pastor Harry MacDonald, he came to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Mike was married to his beloved Julia and mother of their four children for sixteen years before her battle with cancer came to an end. By the kindness and mercy of God, Mike is remarried to Anna. They recently welcomed their first son Luke into the world.
Mike’s idea of a perfect weekend includes a long run along the Ohio River, lots of time with Anna and the kids, and no phone.
He grew up in a Mormon home but became agnostic at 14. Because of a family tragedy, the film adaptation of Dan Brown's *Da Vinci Code*, and the faithful witness of two friends, he came to know the Lord. He has served in various ministry capacities for ten years. Zach is married to his wife, Morgan.
Zach’s idea of a perfect weekend includes smoked chicken and Gibson BBQ’s white sauce, Auburn football, and an RC Cola. Feel free to send food recommendations to him @zmcarter.
