God has many ways to persuade us to do what He wants done. For the prophet Jonah, it involved his environment. Jonah ran from God’s command to preach in Ninevah. But he could not outrun the long reach of God, who appointed several “persuaders” to bring Jonah to a place of submission: a great fish, a plant, a worm, and today, a scorching east wind.
