After the first murder recorded in the Bible, Cain had no remorse for killing Abel. Rather, he bemoaned his fate of being made a restless wanderer. He was self-absorbed in his own circumstances. Sin turns us in on ourselves, self-focus and self-preoccupied, and the only way we can get our eyes off ourselves is through the redemption Jesus provides.
