Isaiah declared, "He was wounded for our transgressions..." Indeed, Jesus was mortally wounded on the cross. The Bible reveals this truth: although these wounds were inflicted by Roman soldiers and approved by Jewish leaders, in actual fact God Himself was the One behind the crucifixion of His own Son.
