The city of Athens gave the world its best philosophers, the ideals of democracy, and was the birthplace of the Olympic spirit. The noble thinkers of Athens soared above their peers elsewhere. Their open-mindedness allowed many avenues of thought to be debated in public discourse. It was before this audience of elite philosophers that the Apostle Paul stood to speak at a place called Mars Hill.
