Suffering for Christ Part 3

April 7, 2016

The Eclipse Of God
Just as the moon obscures the sun’s light during an eclipse, today’s radical secularism has obscured the light of God. But God’s light still shines—and He is calling us to shine His light in our growing darkness. Is God more tolerant than He used to be? Pastor Lutzer shows how God is both a God of wrath as well as grace; that He is both merciful and just, and both a redeemer and a judge. Deepen your love for our unchangeable God of the Bible and be empowered to proclaim the light of truth in a culture of darkness. When Jesus appeared to a man on the Damascus road, the fear in that man’s heart convinced him this was no ordinary encounter. Indeed, Saul was “Confronted by Christ.” Saul would never be the same again.

You’d never find a more unlikely convert to the Christian faith. Saul was intent on capturing and killing as many believers as possible. That all changed one day when Saul the Pharisee found himself blinded by the light.

In Israel, you can stand on the very mount from which Jesus Christ ascended to His Father in heaven. Prophecies foretell his return to that very Mount of Olives to set up His kingdom on Earth. But is He ruling in heaven right now?

For 40 days the resurrected Jesus walked the roads of Israel. But then the time came for a journey to heaven. But what is He doing now? Jesus is still advocating for His people.

The sight on the Mount of Olives was unforgettable. Jesus rose into the sky! His ascension marked the beginning of a new ministry, for He is interceding for His people at the Father’s right hand.

It’s all too easy to get lost in the internet’s infinite links and forget that our kids are growing up in a culture that wants to corrupt their souls and create addicts to immorality. Here is a final challenge to parents to get involved in the lives of their kids and reclaim their family.
March 25, 2016
The family is on life support these days. It’s up to Christians to be an example of the value and power of a godly family. Keeping our kids from moral harm is high on the agenda, and here are some instructions for parents.
