The Eclipse Of God
Just as the moon obscures the sun’s light during an eclipse, today’s radical secularism has obscured the light of God. But God’s light still shines—and He is calling us to shine His light in our growing darkness. Is God more tolerant than He used to be? Pastor Lutzer shows how God is both a God of wrath as well as grace; that He is both merciful and just, and both a redeemer and a judge. Deepen your love for our unchangeable God of the Bible and be empowered to proclaim the light of truth in a culture of darkness. A man hired workers for his vineyard. The pay was the same whether a man worked all day or just for the last hour. The bottom line for us is that the landowner can pay whatever he wants, since each man got what was promised.

The story of the Prodigal Son is really the story of two prodigals. One left in rebellion, the other stayed in rebellion. The elder brother was angry that his father had mercy on the younger brother. Let’s take another look into a famous parable of Jesus.

Perhaps no parable of Jesus has drawn as many tears as that of the prodigal son. That’s because we’re all prodigals. When the father greets his returning son, we see just how much God wants to forgive His children and receive them back into fellowship.

When the Bible tells a story, it always rings true to human experience. We see this in the story of the Prodigal Son who went his own way. In yet another remarkable parable of Jesus, we can learn some major truth about how to be better parents.

One parable of Jesus contains a dire warning. We need to take a careful look at the truth that God will not forgive us if we fail to forgive others from the heart. Work through this teaching with us, and then purpose to be someone who is quick to forgive.

Being forgiven puts you under obligation. You must forgive others just as you have been forgiven. That’s the teaching of Jesus in a parable. Let’s learn more on the heart attitude we need to have once we experience the forgiveness of God.

When someone wrongs you, you may resent them, leading to a bitterness that can ruin your life. That’s why Jesus spoke on the need for us to forgive. In a famous parable, He gave us key principles to follow as we deal with the wrongs others have done.

Fathers invariably respond to the requests of their kids. In a parable, Jesus says it’s the same with God the Father. “Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you will find,” He said. Here are more inspiring lessons on the mystery of prayer.
