An Extraordinary Resurrection Part 3

September 26, 2013

Of all the religious founders who’ve ever lived, only One is still living. Only One has opened the door to heaven. Jesus is alive and sitting at the right hand of God the Father, waiting to return in glory to this Earth.

The Eclipse Of God
Just as the moon obscures the sun’s light during an eclipse, today’s radical secularism has obscured the light of God. But God’s light still shines—and He is calling us to shine His light in our growing darkness. Is God more tolerant than He used to be? Pastor Lutzer shows how God is both a God of wrath as well as grace; that He is both merciful and just, and both a redeemer and a judge. Deepen your love for our unchangeable God of the Bible and be empowered to proclaim the light of truth in a culture of darkness. Why do Christians believe in the resurrection of Christ? Looking at the evidence, it’s overwhelmingly in favor of the resurrection.

Kingdoms, emperors, and skeptics are born and die—yet Christ still lives. And His resurrection guarantees that one day, those who have put their trust in Him will also rise again.

The love of God was put on display when Jesus went to the cross to die for our sins. His sacrifice was visible that day in Jerusalem, and it’s visible, even now, to those who trust Him for the salvation His death purchased.

Salvation from beginning to end is of the Lord, and the cross is the defining moment, not just for Jesus, but for the entire human race.
September 20, 2013
The only way God could possibly associate with sinful humans and retain His integrity and holiness was to have a plan of salvation that could be achieved without human involvement. This plan required a perfect, sinless sacrifice: Jesus Christ. God the Son sacrificed Himself to God the Father in order to bridge the infinite gap between unrighteous man and a holy God.

Genuine authority flows from within, no matter who you are. Jesus Christ had a unique authority, an authority still felt today, two thousand years since He walked on Earth. How does He still command such devotion?
September 18, 2013
Jesus Christ is the final and most complete revelation from God. Period. He claimed exclusivity: that He was the only way to God, which is understandable because He is God.
September 17, 2013
When you size up any group of people, it’s usually pretty easy to tell who’s in charge—there’s something intangible about real leaders that make them recognizable as leaders. In all of history, no one has ever projected authority like Jesus did. People were either drawn to Him, or they wanted to kill Him. For anyone confronting the real Jesus, there was, and still is, no middle ground.
September 16, 2013
All of us will have an eternal home. And our relationship with Christ, whether we accept Him or not, will determine where those future ages will be spent. He made claims no other man has ever made—and backed them up with incontrovertible miracles.
September 13, 2013
Not all miracles are of God. Satan too can perform miracles. Real miracles include raising the dead, and calming a storm, feeding thousands with just a couple of fish and some bread—the kind of miracles Jesus did to validate that He was not only fully human, He was also fully God.
