The Father and His Family Part 8
Dr. Abel Damina: Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, praise the Lord. Abel Damina is my name. I want to welcome you to this broadcast. A time of learning, a time of unlearning, and a time of relearning. The essence of this broadcast is to bring to you the revelation of Jesus Christ. The mandate of God on our ministry is the revelation of Jesus, reintroducing Jesus to this generation, equipping the believer to know who you are in Christ, what you have in Christ, and what Christ can do through you.
So get ready, fasten your seatbelts today. We're going to adventure in the scriptures. The scriptures tell us in John 5:39, Jesus speaking to the Jews said, "You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life, but they are they which testify of me." The Bible is Christ-centric. It's a message centered on the person of Jesus Christ. So get ready today as we traverse through the pages of the scriptures, unveiling Christ so we can reveal your true identity in Christ.
Once you know who you are in Christ, then you will know what you have in Christ, and then you can be able to know what Christ can do through you. It gives you a life of fulfillment, a life that is purpose-driven so you can make the impact you were designed to make in this life through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Call a friend, call a loved one, tell somebody to tell somebody to hook up right now as I take you into that service where the spirit of our God is already moving. Happy listening.
The Father and His family. Turn with me to the book of John chapter 14 verse number 16. John 14:16. Now, I already announced and I still maintain in the course of teaching, if you come by anything I'm saying that requires answers, you have questions, I would like you to write them down, we will answer them. I'm sure the computer room, our media room, you guys are also on the system. Online viewers, if you also have questions, you can write them right on the platform and at the end of the service our people in the computer room will write out the questions for me and I'll be able to address whatever questions you might have.
From now onwards, I would love to be answering questions as I teach so that we give you clarity. You don't leave after the teaching of God's word with shadows or things that are not clear to your understanding. But make sure you're asking intelligent questions because foolish and unlearned questions I will not answer. The Bible also tells me emphatically to avoid foolish and unlearned questions. So you must pay attention well so that if there's a question, it is coming out of the intelligence of reasoning along what we're teaching, not just some kind of fly-by-night question that does not have a bearing anywhere. The scripture tells me to stay away from it. So in case you find out your question is not being answered, you know what to tell yourself is the reason why your question is not being answered.
Alright, let's get in the word tonight. John chapter 14 verse number 16. John 14:16. "And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another comforter," the word *allos*, another of the same kind, "that he may abide with you forever." If your Bible was mine, I would underline the word "abide with you forever." Abide, he will abide with you forever. He will abide with you forever.
Now, we began to deal with the fact that God does not dwell in temples built with hands. God does not dwell in any of those—never dwelt in any of the temples that were built in the Old Testament. And we took time to look at it very carefully from the scriptures. There's something about the incarnation of Jesus that is very important and I began to look at that in the second service on Sunday. In the incarnation of Jesus, brother Paul uses two words, two words in the incarnation of Jesus in the Greek which is very instructive.
Philippians chapter 2 verse 6. Philippians chapter 2 verse number 6. "Who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God." Verse 7. "But made himself of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men." He became absent in one realm. The word *kenosis* in the Greek. *Kenosis* means that for the purpose of salvation, God became absent in one realm so he can appear in another realm. He is functioning in a way that he emptied himself. He emptied himself. That is, if you look back at how he was, you won't find him in that way again.
Look at that Philippians again chapter 2 verse number 6, the Message translation. "He had equal status with God but didn't think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what." Verse 7. "Not at all. When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of his slave, became human." That is, he emptied himself in one realm, became absent in one realm. That is, if you look at him the way he was, when you see him, he's no more the way he was because the word *kenosis* means when you look here, it will be empty. Alright. Now, that is when you look back at the way the Father is before Jesus came, you won't find him again in that way.
Then Paul uses the word *katabasis*. That is the fact that he descended. He descended means he switched how he was. He switched how he was. That descent is the switching. Did you notice when Jesus was talking about dwelling, he used the word forever? "He will dwell with you forever." Means many things changed in redemption. Where the Father was or where the Father is changed to his eternal abode. Please listen carefully. Where the Father was changed to his eternal abode.
So the descent of Jesus, the word that became flesh, it's on its own instructive. The word became flesh. So he was in a state before he moved into another state. And when he moved into another state, he is no more the same that you saw in the previous state. The word became flesh. Please, that's important. Do you know that while we see it as descending, as though he will change later, scripture says when the word became flesh and dwelt among us, he came as the Holy Spirit to abide with you forever. That means this new state will be his state forever.
Please, that word forever is critical. Let's learn something from that. Do you know that the Old Testament with all the glory they had, none of them could explain God? In the New Testament, with all the glory that they had, none of them could explain God. Not Moses with all of the glory that came with Moses, not Ezekiel, not even Isaiah, all the prophets. None of them could explain God in spite of all the glory that was available to all of them. The closest explanation of God is what we find in a man.
So it's not actually a descent like he lowered himself. Inasmuch as that is what it appears, but actually what it means in that descent is that God revealed himself. The descent is in the fact that God has revealed himself to man. So that incarnation says something to us about God. David said, "What is man that thou art mindful of him?" Look at Hebrews chapter 2 verse 6. Hebrews chapter 2 verse number 6. "But one in a certain place testified saying, what is man that thou art mindful of him or the son of man that thou visitest him?"
Verse 7. "Thou madest him a little lower than the angels. Thou crownedst him with glory and honor and did set him over the works of thy hands." Next verse. "Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him." We see not yet all things put under him. So the man he's talking about cannot be the man that is walking on the streets.
So that's why the psalmist kept asking, "What is man that thou art mindful of him?" That is why in the Old Testament, it was such an interrogation and it spanned down to the book of Hebrews. "What is man?" But in the book of Hebrews now we have the answer. Look at the next verse, verse 8. Hebrews 2:8. "But we see Jesus." So the man that he was mindful of was the appearance of God in humanity. The manifestation of God or the mindfulness of God or the thought of God.
The thought of God is God in man. God in man. That is what is in the thought of God throughout the Old Testament. God in man, not man in God. God in man. So that incarnation says something to us. You know, we have said that to remove the Old Testament temple mentality completely, I have taken time to teach you that you must remove that Old Testament temple because God never lived there, God never instructed it, God never demanded for it, God never needed it, and God never used it.
So just get that mentality off you completely. Now, God does not visit us in the New Testament. He lives in us. God inhabits, he dwells in us. He indwells us. Because that's the lesson we're looking at today: the indwelling of God in humanity. Now, please pay attention. Is there any scripture you have ever found in the Bible, all of you here Bible scholars, students of the word of God, have you ever found any scripture in the entire Bible that says when a believer dies, he goes to heaven?
Have you ever found any verse in the Bible that says when a believer dies, he goes to heaven? Have you ever found—think about it—have you ever found anywhere in the Bible? Because in salvation, the believer is already in heaven. So there is no verse that says when you die, you go to heaven. No verse. You won't find it. If you find one, show me. We're in Bible study. The issue with many of us is because we think heaven is in a distance. We think that we have to travel to go to a location called heaven.
I don't blame us, it's because we watch too many movies that are useless. We've watched a lot of movies and those movies were acted so real by professionals that they looked very real and they painted and colored our concept and mindset of heaven. And so every Christian is struggling to go to heaven. "Heaven at last, may we make it. My prayer is that you will arrive there. My house will be close to your house." All of those carnal ways of reasoning. Those are reasonings in the senses.
We walk by faith, not by sight. We have come too far in revealed knowledge to start thinking like carnal men. Are you still in the building? If you're still here, can I hear powerful Amen? Alright, so Jesus told us heaven is here. Heaven is here. We are in the kingdom of heaven now. Luke 17:20. Please take down these scriptures, they will help you. "And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come—when the kingdom of God should come—he answered them and said, the kingdom of God cometh not with observation."
It's not a place that you see with your eyes. It's not a location that you have to look for. This is Jesus speaking: the kingdom does not come with observation. Look at the next verse. "Neither shall they say, lo here or lo there." It's not a location. "Behold, the kingdom of God is within you." It's not a location somewhere. It's not a place we are traveling to. The kingdom of God is within you. Are you still in the building?
Just like the Jews were looking for the kingdom by observation. "Heaven at last, may we make it, may we arrive there." That's the same way the Jews were looking for it. Look at Matthew 12:28. "But if I cast out devils by the spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you." You don't go to the kingdom. The kingdom comes to you. You don't travel to the kingdom. The kingdom comes to you. And this is the sign that the kingdom has arrived: "if I by the finger of God cast out demons."
So when Jesus began to cast out demons, it was the physical sign that the kingdom has arrived. That the person casting out the demons was the kingdom walking on the face of the earth. Teaching good? Stay with me. Luke 11:20. "But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you." The kingdom of God is—now listen, the word kingdom of God is the same for kingdom of heaven. Kingdom of God is kingdom of heaven. Kingdom of heaven is kingdom of God.
Look at Romans chapter 14 verse 17. Glory to God. "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost." The kingdom of God is not a location. The kingdom of God is a spiritual reality that expresses itself in righteousness, peace, joy in the Holy Ghost. That is the kingdom of God or the kingdom of heaven. So the kingdom of heaven is not a location somewhere we're traveling to. It's our reality in Christ.
Expecting to see clouds and a throne, angels descending and ascending, a place full of water, lightnings, thunderings and shoutings, and a big book where people's names are written and looking for people to send to hell is walking by sight and not walking by faith. It's walking by sight and not walking by faith. Say with me very loud, "I believe the gospel." Can I hear you shouting very loud? "I am seated in heaven now." Can I hear you say it again?
Look at John 3:13. I'm going to get there again. "And no man hath ascended up to heaven but he that came down from heaven, even the son of man which is in heaven." So the son of man walking on the face of the earth was walking on the face of the earth in heaven. He moved on the face of the earth and while he was talking, even when he was saying "no man has ascended up to heaven," he was speaking from heaven. "Which is in heaven." Not which was in heaven. I'm coming back there.
Take that down and then come with me to 2nd Peter 3:13. "Nevertheless we according to his promise look for new heavens and a new earth." What is the characteristics of this new heaven and new earth? "Wherein dwelleth righteousness." Question: where is the righteousness of God? In you. Where is the new heaven and the new earth? In you. Wherein dwelleth righteousness. New heaven, new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. Pay attention.
Now, the most scriptures that they use for painting the physical picture, let's even get there. Revelation chapter 21 verse 1. Now pay attention. "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth." Did Peter say we're looking for it? Alright, so now Revelation says, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away and there was no more sea." Next verse. "And I John—so this is John that was looking—I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven."
Coming down from God out of your belly shall flow—out of heaven. It's not coming down from heaven. It's coming down from God out of heaven. You're still following? "Prepared as a bride," metaphor. "Prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." Next verse. "And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, behold, behold, the tabernacle of God is with men and he will dwell with them and they shall be his people and God himself shall be with them and be their God."
Look at verse 4. "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain for the former things are passed away. If any man be in Christ, all things are passed away." Alright, are you still in the building? Philippians chapter 3 verse 20. "For our conversation is in heaven." Our conversation will be in heaven—what does the Bible say?—*is* in heaven from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Give me the Message translation of that Philippians. "But there's far more to life for us. We're citizens of high heaven. We're waiting the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ." Give me the Amplified of the same scripture. "But we are citizens of the state, commonwealth, homeland, which is in heaven. And from it also we earnestly await the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah, as Savior, the parousia of Christ."
Alright, now say with me again very loud, "I believe the gospel. I am seated in heaven now." Right, so this destroys the desire to wanting to make heaven because we're seated there now. Our resources are there now. We are all in heaven right now born, as many of us as are born again. So Jesus emptied himself and became a man. And God highly exalted him and gave him a name. A name that is above all names. That name is a position.
He gave him a position. So what was that position or what does that position say, which God gave to Jesus when he rose from the dead? Colossians chapter 2 verse 9. "For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." Give me the Amplified. "For in him the whole fullness of deity continues to dwell in bodily form giving complete expression of the divine nature." So the fullness of God is in Christ.
Now, whenever you see the word fullness, it means you won't find anything that is pertaining to that elsewhere. If I say the fullness of Abel Damina is standing in 98 Wanebar Road, it means you won't find any leftover of Abel Damina elsewhere because the fullness of Abel Damina is here. So when we say the fullness of God dwells bodily in Christ, it means outside Christ there is no God anywhere. He is the fullness of deity. He is the completeness, the totality of deity.
There's no aspect of deity hanging in another location. Bodily means in his person. Then look at verse 10. "And you are complete in him." You are complete in the fullness of the Godhead bodily, which is the head of principalities and powers. Can I hear powerful Amen? So now let me ask all of you a question. The descent of God into humanity, is it figurative or literal? Literal, correct. Because when God became a man, it was literal. It was not a metaphor.
Now, was it temporary or permanent? When God became a man, is it a temporary state where he will go back or permanent? How will he dwell with you? Forever. Permanent. Permanent. That's why when I started teaching I told you when he left a state, the descent was that he moved from one location to another and he left where he left is empty. Please follow me. All of these are preambles and preparations for *In Christ Reality Season 2*. I'm preparing you because we're going to get there in a short while.
So the spirit of that reality—the reality of God becoming a man, the reality of the fullness of God dwelling in Christ bodily—where is that spirit? Is in you. Romans chapter 8 verse 9. "But you are not in the flesh but in the spirit." Somebody shout, "I am in the spirit." "If so be that the spirit of God dwell in you. Now, if any man have not the spirit of Christ, he is none of his." You can't be a child of God if you don't have the spirit of Christ.
It is the spirit of Christ coming on your inside that made you a child of God. Now put that scripture back again, I'm not done. Verse 10. "And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness." Verse 11. "But if the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you."
Verse 12. "Therefore, brethren, we are debtors not to the flesh to live after the flesh." Verse 13. "For if you live after the flesh, you shall die. But if you through the spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live." The latter is your state. You are in the spirit mortifying the deeds of the flesh. Now say with me very loud again, "I am not in the flesh. I am in the spirit." Can I hear powerful Amen?
Now look at verse 14 now, which is your status in that Romans 8. "For as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God." "Led" is your state, you are led. That's exactly what made you a child of God. You are led, you are born of the spirit. Give me the next verse. "For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear." There will never be bondage until there is fear. Fear fertilizes bondage or fear creates an environment for bondage.
"But you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear but you have received the spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba Father." The spirit of truth has to evidence it. He cries within us, "Abba Father." Abba Father, because the Father lives in us. So the Father manifests in the believer. We don't go to the Father. There is no distance to the Father. Once there is a distance, you are not in his family. Once there is a distance, you are not in the Father's family.
We are not distant from the Father. The Father is in us. In our family, our DNA is the Father in us. Once the Father is elsewhere, you are not in his family. Once the Father is in another place and you are in another place, you are not a family. What makes you a family is that the Father resides inside you. You and the Father are in a union that cannot be separated. That is what makes you and the Father one family. Are we still in the building? Yeah.
So that is our reality. We are many temples and every temple has the same capacity. In the Old Testament, the temple that Moses asked them to build and the one Solomon built, by the reason of praise one time, the glory filled the temple and the priests could not stand to minister. So the temple had a glory. It had a display of strength. The president of Nigeria has a glory. True of us? He issues instructions that nobody can check. Nobody can disobey. That's the glory of his office.
The temple had a glory. In Acts chapter 2, if you observe carefully, on the day of Pentecost, everybody functioned the same way. Everybody functioned the same way. So John 14:16 again. Still working on this. Glory to God. "And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever." Pay attention to verse 17 now. "Even the spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him, but you know him for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you."
So from Jesus' explanation, it is evident that receiving salvation, which is by faith in Christ or faith in the gospel, is the same as the Father and Jesus abiding in the believer. Receiving salvation by faith in Christ is the same thing with Jesus and the Father abiding in the believer. It's the same thing: the indwelling of the spirit. Receiving eternal life is the indwelling of the Father and the Son, which is the spirit of God in man.
It is vital to see that this was the intent of God from time, even in the prophecies of the prophets. That was God's intent. Ezekiel 36:26 to 28. "A new heart also will I give you. A new spirit will I put within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and I will give you a heart of flesh." Next verse, 27. "And I will put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statues and you shall keep my judgments and do them."
Verse 28. "And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers and you shall be my people and I will be your God." "I will put my spirit within you." You will be born of my spirit. That's in the prophecy. Look at Jeremiah 31:31 to 34. "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah." Verse 32. Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers when I brought them out of the land of Egypt.
Verse 33. "But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord. I will put my law in their inward parts and write it in their hearts and will be their God and they shall be my people." Verse 34. "For they shall all know me from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord, for I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sin no more."
Leviticus 26:11 to 12. "And I will set my tabernacle among you and my soul shall not abhor you. And I will walk among you and will be your God and you shall be my people." In Leviticus, God already said the house I will live in will be my people. I will walk among you. How will he do that? I will put my spirit within you. Zechariah 2 verse 10. "Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for lo, I come, I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the Lord."
"I will dwell in the midst of thee." Give me verse 11. "And many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day and shall be my people. I will dwell in the midst of thee and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts has sent me unto thee." Give me 2nd Chronicles chapter 6 verse 9. "Notwithstanding thou shalt not build the house but thy son which shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name."
This was God talking to David. And David thought God was referring to his son Solomon. But God was not referring to his son Solomon. He was referring to his son Jesus. So because he thought it was Solomon, he now prepared money for Solomon to build a temple that God never visited. Because that's not where God wanted. That's why Jesus is of the seed of David. He's the son that was going to build God a house where God would stay.
Are we still in the building? If it's getting clear, can I hear powerful Amen? 1st Kings chapter 8 verse 27. "But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee. How much less this house that I have builded?" It's Solomon talking. Even the heaven of the heavens cannot contain God, how much more this temple? So Solomon built a temple and knew that God cannot stay inside. Are we in the building?
Stephen and brother Paul confirmed this. Acts 7:48. "Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands, as saith the prophet." This was Stephen in his defense. What about brother Paul? Acts 17:24. "God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands." But he will dwell in you. He will dwell in you. John 14:17.
"Even the spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him, but you know him for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you." So the promise of God indwelling man was fulfilled by Jesus Christ upon his resurrection from the dead. The resurrection of Jesus was the construction of the Father's permanent abode. The resurrection of Jesus from the dead was the building of God's permanent house.
God's permanent house came out of the construction that took place three days. Look at it confirmed, Mark 14:58. "We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands and within three days I will build another made without hands." The apostles taught the same thing in the epistles: the spirit of God dwells in you. He that does not have the spirit of God is none of his. Look at Romans 8:15.
"For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear but you have received the spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba Father." 1st Corinthians 2:12. Let's see the way brother Paul taught these realities. "Now we have received not the spirit of the world but the spirit which is of God that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God." Say with me very loud, "The spirit of God dwells in me."
1st Corinthians 3:16. "Know ye not that you are the temple of God and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you?" 1st Corinthians 6:17. "But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit." Verse 18. "Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body, but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body." Verse 19. "What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God and you are not your own?"
Next verse, 20. "For you are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are God's." I thought somebody would shout hallelujah. 2nd Corinthians 6:16. A lot of scriptures good for your health. "And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God, as God hath said, I will dwell in them and walk in them, I will be their God and they shall be my people."
"I will walk in them, I will dwell in them, I will be their God." God has no other accommodation other than the born-again man. Galatians 3:14. "That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ that we might receive the promised spirit." Galatians 4:6. "And because you are sons, God has sent forth the spirit of his son into your hearts crying, Abba Father." Say with me, "The spirit of his son dwells in me."
Ephesians 1:13. The Father and his family. "In whom you also trusted after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise." 1st John 4:13 to 15. "Hereby know we that we dwell in him and he in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him and he in us because he has given us of his spirit."
How do I know that I dwell in God and God dwells in me? Because I have the spirit of adoption. So the reality of the Father and the Son dwelling in me is the Holy Spirit. Now give me the next verse of that same scripture. "And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world." Next verse. "Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the son of God, God dwelleth in him and he in God."
Where does God dwell? He dwells in that man who confess that Jesus is the son of God. God dwelleth in him and he in God. It's clear that God dwells in the believer today. We are his people, we are his dwelling place. Somebody shout, "I am God's house." Shout it one more time. Shout it louder. Hebrews chapter 3 verse 6. "But Christ as a son over his own house, whose house are we?"
Where is Jesus' house? Where is the Father's house? Whose house? So why are you trying to make heaven? Why are people trying to go to a location? You are God's house. There is no heaven anywhere outside the reality of the spirit in the believer. Listen to what I said so that you will not say what I didn't say. I didn't say there is no heaven. I said there is no heaven anywhere outside the reality of the spirit of God in the believer.
Because somebody said I said that there is no rapture. He's been using it against me because he didn't listen to me to learn, he listened to me to look for fault. And he will find plenty. Once you're looking for fault, by the grace of God, I promise you in Jesus' name, you will see fault everywhere. In fact, you will see fault till you yourself will be lost inside the fault. In Jesus' name. Because that's what you're looking for.
But if you're listening to me to learn, you will learn. But if it's fault, in Jesus' name, receive revelation of faults. There is no heaven anywhere outside the reality of the indwelling of the spirit in the believer. That's what I said. That is the heaven. That reality of the indwelling spirit because that reality of the indwelling of the spirit of God is the abode of God. So if that is their abode of God and he will live there forever—hey, don't ever think you will travel beyond where you are now.
Don't ever think like that. Where you are now is arrival. The only difference is that mortality will put on immortality. Otherwise, if not for mortality, the moment you receive Christ, you have arrived. But because of mortality, so there will be a change, which is what we call the rapture. But even the change is not flight. The change is a wearing of our heavenly clothes, the immortal cloth, so that mortality might be swallowed up of immortality.
Now, Ephesians 2:22. You are God's house. "In whom ye also are builded together." You are builded. Will you be built or you're already builded? You're builded together for an habitation of God through the spirit. What is habitation? Habitat. What is habitat? Your home. Your place of comfort. So the believer is God's place of comfort. The believer is God's habitat. The believer is God's home. And not just temporary home, his eternal home.
Notice Jesus, his careful explanation in John 3:12. "If I have told you earthly things and you believe not, how shall you believe if I tell you of heavenly things?" 13. "And no man hath ascended up to heaven but he that came down from heaven, even the son of man which is in heaven." Why did Jesus say this? Because of Nicodemus' question in verse 9. "How can these things be? How can these realities come to be of being born of the spirit which is born of water which is born again?"
Then Jesus said to him, "No man has gone to heaven but the coming of the son of man which is in heaven." Now when the son of man which is in heaven enters a man, that reality comes to be. The reality called heaven is Jesus living in the believer. Jesus living in the believer. Are you still in the building? Now if you pay attention carefully, there is the word "heavenly things."
The word "heavenly things" is the Greek word *epouranios*. It implies immaterial. Immaterial, not of the earth. So heavenly things in the context that Jesus was talking about will be "born again." Born again is a heavenly thing. Born anew, born of the spirit, born of God, salvation. All of those are heavenly things: indwelling of the spirit. So Jesus taught that God dwelling in man is heavenly. The entrance of God into that man is heavenly.
Brother Paul taught similar things in Ephesians chapter 1 verse 3. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly in Christ." In the immaterial. He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the immaterial and the immaterial is in Christ. So the believer's heaven is in Christ. And Christ's heaven is in the believer. I in you, you in me. The believer's heaven is in Christ.
Ephesians 2 verse 6. "And hath raised us up together and made us sit together in the immaterial in Christ Jesus." Ephesians 3:14. "For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." 15. "Of whom the whole family in the immaterial and in the material is named." The family is both in the immaterial and in the material. Ephesians 2:18. "For through him we both have access by one spirit unto the Father."
So the whole family in heaven was referring to a spiritual reality, which is one of the realities we have in Christ. Say with me very loud, "I am in heaven right now." Say it again. Say like you know what you're talking about. Say, "I am in Christ. I am in heaven. Christ is in me. I am Christ's heaven." Are you still in the building? So where does God live? "And the word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory as the glory of the begotten of the Father."
John 4:24. "God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." So when we say you're born of God, what are we saying? You're born of the spirit. God is a spirit. When he gave birth to you, you were born of the spirit. John 14:10. "Believest thou not that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself but the Father that dwelleth in me."
The Father dwells in the Son. Now he explained this in John 14:23. Jesus answered and said unto him, "If a man love me, he will keep my words and my Father will love him and we will come unto him and make our abode with him." We will make our abode, our home, our dwelling with him and it will be forever. John 14:17 again. "Even the spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him, but you know him for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you."
1st Corinthians 3:16. "Know ye not that you are the temple of God and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you?" The spirit of God does not visit you. The spirit of God dwells in you. Hallelujah. Say with me, "I am God's home. I am God's house. I am God's dwelling." Say, "By the Holy Spirit dwelling in me, I am a member of God's family." Say, "I am where God is. God is where I am. We have a union that cannot be separated. We are family."
Is it clear tonight? You are the Father's family. You are the family of God. That's how you became a member of God's family. So question: where does God live? In you. He lives in you. And how long is he going to live in you? Forever. You're God's eternal home. Hallelujah. You're God's permanent abode. You're God's house. You're God's dwelling place. That is our reality. Where I am he is, where he is I am. We can never be separated.
What he has I have. All that is his is mine. I'm an heir of God. I'm a joint heir with Christ. All that belongs to God belongs to me. I am seated with him in the heavenlies. I'm not going to sit, I'm seated with him right now in the heavenlies. Hallelujah. That's our reality. We have left the senses long ago. We have left walking by the senses: touch, feel, taste. We left that realm long time.
The moment you start operating revelation knowledge, you're no more operating in the senses. A man in the senses cannot know the things of the spirit. You've got to get off the senses to be able to see into the things of the spirit. You're born of the spirit. You are a spiritual house. You are God's habitation. Somebody shout very loud, "I am a spiritual house. I am God's habitation. I offer spiritual sacrifices."
Get on your feet tonight, that's all I've got for you this night. Glory to God! We are God's habitation, we are God's dwelling. We are God's house. He lives in us. He lives in us. And brother Paul say rejoice, again I say rejoice. The word rejoice is an active word. You rejoice when these realities dawn on you. Rejoice not that demons are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in the Lamb's book.
Can we rejoice for a few seconds tonight? I am the Father's family. I am the Father's home, I am the Father's habitation, I am the Father's dwelling place, I am the Father's heaven. He lives in me. Hallelujah. And Father we pray tonight for everybody under the sound of my voice. Wherever your people are watching and listening to these words, revealed knowledge is gifted everyone. This revelation grows big on your inside until nothing else matters. In the name of Jesus.
I decree by virtue of the revelation of God's word, we continue walking by faith and not by sight. We walk in these realities, we function in these realities, we live in these realities. In the name of Jesus. I am what the word says I am. I have what the word says I have. I can do what the word says I can do. And in the name of Jesus I decree that is your reality in Christ Jesus.
Lift your right hand and say with me very loud, "I believe the word of God. It is final authority in my life." Say it again, "It is final authority in my life." One more time, "It is final authority in my life." I was just sharing with my family this morning and I said to them, that statement we're always making, "I believe the word of God, it is final authority in my life," is not a cliché. The reality of that statement comes to play when you're face to face with challenges.
It's not supposed to be a church confession. The doctor says you have ulcer. "Oh, I will just die." It's no more final authority. That statement must go beyond confession to reality. The word of God is final authority. When all hell breaks loose, I take my place in the word of God as my final authority. I refuse to be terrified. I refuse in nothing be terrified by the adversary.
You know your adversary the devil goes about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He is still seeking, he has not found and he cannot find you when you stand steadfastly in the faith and you mount up a resistance. Whom resist steadfast in the faith. You stay in the faith and resist. Don't leave the faith to go and resist. You stay in the faith and you resist in the faith. Say with me very loud, "The word of God is final authority in my life."
You and your wife are having misunderstanding, don't go to your village. That's not final authority. Don't call your village chief. That's not final authority unless you're a liar and a joker. What does the word say about this situation? That's when it is final authority. Your husband has done you wrong, you're angry, you're bitter, you're sad. After all the emotions, you come back. It is final authority in my life. What does the word say about this situation?
Even the way we live with one another, the word of God must be final authority. Otherwise you're a joker. You're not a serious person. And if you're a joker, nobody should take you serious, including the air you breathe. Say with me, "The word of God is final authority in my life." Say it like you know what you're talking about. "The word of God is final authority in my life."
When finances are not coming the way they ought to come and you have challenges financially, you stay in the word of God and don't be flabbergasted. It is final authority in my life. I am what the word says I am. I think I will go back to that confession first. Because we've been singing it as a song.
Guest (Male): (Singing) I believe the word of God. I believe the word of God. And it's final authority in my life. It's final authority in my life. In spite of my circumstances. In spite of my situation. Do you believe?
Dr. Abel Damina: I believe the word of God. I receive revelation. Now you sing it until you are no more thinking of it. It has become melody, melody, melody. You've got to think about it because we are not just mouthing. We are thinking about it. So when situations hit, the first thing you remember is the word of God is final authority in my life.
What does the final authority of my life say? By his stripes I was healed. What does the final authority say? Husband, love your wives even as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it. What does the word of God say concerning my situation? Say to the righteous, it shall be well. Your going out is blessed, your coming in is blessed. Say it very loud, "I am what the word says I am."
Now say it like you know what you're talking about. "I am what the word says I am. I have what the word says I have. I can do what the word says I can do. The word of God is final authority in my life." I didn't hear powerful Amen. I believe the word of God. That must become our day-to-day reality. The word of God final. Nothing else is final other than the word of God.
The doctor's report is not final authority. The lawyer's report is not final authority. The circumstantial reports are not final authority. It doesn't matter how real the situation, it cannot be final authority. There is something more real than that reality. And that reality is not my reality. My reality is the word of God. I am in my Father, my Father is in me. I am the Father's home. Glory to God. Go ahead and celebrate what you have tonight.
Celebrate, celebrate, celebrate. Final authority in my life. The word is final authority in my life. Glory. You guys come, let's do that song one time. Give us the right key, get the right things everyone. We'll sing it one more time before we take the offerings and sign off for the night. I like us to sing it and mean what we're singing. Those of you online can join us. I want everybody to sing that song together tonight.
God's word is final authority in my life. Get the right keys, get everything right and we're going to sing it well and right. Hallelujah. Say it again with me very loud, "The word of God is final authority in my life." Say it again, "The word of God is final authority in my life." Now speak to your body and to your situation. Say, "The word of God is final authority in my life." Say it again two more times. One more time. Hit it! Let's do it and celebrate that word.
Guest (Male): (Singing) I believe the word of God. I believe the word of God. It's final authority in my life. It's final authority in my life. In spite of my circumstances. In spite of my situation. Do you believe? I believe the word of God. I receive this word by revelation. I receive understanding and I'm fully blessed. Do you believe? I believe the word of God. I receive this word by revelation. I receive it, the understanding, and I'm fully blessed. I will never, never, never be the same. I will never be the same. I am what God says I am. I can do what God says I can do. I have what God says I have.
Dr. Abel Damina: The word of God is final authority in my life. Can I hear powerful Amen? Get a good offering, let's give tonight as we honor Jesus and honor his word. As we honor the finished work of Christ and honor the word of God, ensuring that we embark on our God-given responsibility to give of our resources for the advancement of the word of God all over the blue marble planet.
Those of you on social media, the banking details are on the screen. Those of you in our campuses, grab your own offerings too. Let's pray as we give. Father, thank you for the privilege to honor what Christ has done through our giving. We give in faith, we give with joy, and we thank you for the privilege of being accepted by you in our giving tonight. Thank you that our offerings rise before you as a sweet smell. Thank you for the privilege to make a difference in the advancement of your kingdom through our givings. In Jesus' precious name. Every believer says a powerful Amen. Hallelujah.
Oh my goodness, the word of God is life. The Bible tells us the entrance of God's word giveth light and it giveth understanding to the simple. As you keep listening, the light of God's word rises out of the rightly divided word of truth, illuminates your mind, illuminates your heart, and brings you face-to-face with your realities in Christ Jesus.
In Ephesians chapter 3 verse 3, brother Paul speaking about the mystery of the Old Testament, says whereby when you read you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ. So there is a knowledge in the mystery of Christ. The word mystery is the word *musterion* in the Greek. It means that which is concealed. And then he says how that by revelation—the word revelation is the word *apokalypsis*, it means that which is revealed.
The revelation of the scriptures unveils the mysteries. Revelation is the New Testament, mystery is the Old Testament. But it will take reading and learning to come to a place of full understanding, precise and accurate knowledge. Brother Daniel would say, "I understood by books." So there's a place of books in equipping you soundly with the message of Christ. Brother Paul writes to Timothy, he says to Timothy, "Till I come, give attendance to reading."
Jesus speaking to those Jews says, "You do err because you know not the scriptures nor the power of God." Oftentimes Jesus would say to the Jews, "Have you not read?" The word read is the word *anaginosko* in the Greek. It means, "Are you reading and not paying attention?" I want to quickly recommend for you a plethora of books I have written. They are written with an intent to bring you doctrinal clarity, answer your questions doctrinally, and bring you to a place of accurate understanding, a precise knowledge of Christ and you in Christ.
I want you to order for those books today. The number and the list of books available will be read to you right now. And if you call today, we'll be glad to make sure you get a copy or more copies of the books so you can enrich your spiritual life and enrich your walk with God and build a quality relationship with Jesus Christ where you're also able to teach others the same truths you have learned, to liberate them and bring them to the fullness of God. Glory to God.
