Shortly before Jesus was crucified He told Peter that he would deny Him three times before the rooster crowed cock-a-doodle-doo. Though he did not believe this at that time, Peter did as was predicted. The sound of a rooster’s crow was a sound that Peter had to hear probably every day for the rest of his life, and every time he heard it he was reminded of his denial of Christ. Rather than allowing these times that the devil reminds us of our mistakes to bring us down, we should instead sing praises to God and fight back with Scripture, moving forward from the past and embracing the future God has for us
