Grace is God giving the greatest treasure to the least deserving. The grace of God is the direct opposite of the Law, and yet, it doesn’t offend it, but fulfills it. God’s grace and God’s perfect Law are equally united.

When we delight ourselves in God, spend time with Him and know His ways, He will give us the desires of our heart. But, if God’s Word is in us, and the Holy Spirit is guiding us, our desires will become what He desires for us.

God’s plan has a purpose, and all of God’s plans are good. God spoke His creation into existence because He had a specific plan, for a specific reason.

If God is the object of our faith, how can we become good? There is no amount of human effort that can transform us into being good. It is only in asking God, in His goodness, to forgive us that we are renewed.

By what standard is good determined by? Mankind, apart from God is impure and unholy. So, any good that comes out of us, comes from God. Any other standard cannot hold up to God’s infinite goodness.

God, out of His love for us, wants to redeem us when we ask for forgiveness. That’s why redemption is the most prominent theme of the Bible. Our desire to be restored comes from a sense of awareness that we are, by nature, unable to be good.

Today, Pastor Jack asks the question, “What is this salvation that is in us?” The Bible says that it’s an urgent salvation. Today is the day to call upon God. And, He will answer us, and show us great and powerful things we never knew before.

The Bible tells us in 1 John 3:20, that if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts, and knows all things. And, 1 John 3:20 assures us that all those who believe in the name of Jesus Christ, will have eternal life.

The salvation that Jesus Christ provided for us, cannot be lost, or taken away. Salvation also brings forgiveness, acceptance, and an ongoing access to God through the Holy Spirit, and God’s Word, the Bible.

If we have truly given our life to Christ, we cannot lose our salvation. And the proof of our conversion is an increased passion, and an ongoing conviction to obey Christ, and His Word.
