On today’s program, Pastor Jack tells us how the Messiah will come from the Branch of Jesse, and the Spirit of God will rest on Him. This means the Messiah has two birthrights. He will be born from the seed of David, who is the son of Jesse. And, He will be the Son of God with the spirit of holiness. Both birthrights point to only one Messiah, our Lord Jesus Christ.

We’re to be always thinking Biblically, while still living in a secular world. This means we’re to be a Christian in all that we do. God is not only the God of history, and the God of the Bible, He is also the God of the future, always working towards our restoration.

We really need to trust God in whatever circumstance we find ourselves in. The burden is on His shoulders. When we turn and follow Him, God will bring down those things that come against us. We can’t mess up beyond His love. The trials that come into our lives are designed by God to help us grow.

The Lord is warning the people of Judah and Israel, about how good people will suffer under bad leadership. But, God always keeps His Word. His promise to restore the prosperity of Judah and Jerusalem is still true.

Nations are ultimately under God’s rule. His desire is for leaders to benefit the people. But, when those in authority rob the people of justice, and take from the poor, God will use other nations to go against them. God’s hand is always outstretched when the people cry out to Him in their brokenness.

The Old Testament prophets, including Isaiah, predicted that in the last days God will restore the prosperity of Judah. And, the nations who harmed and scattered the people of Israel will be judged. God will return His people back into their own land that was promised to them thousands of years ago.

God weaves hope into the darkest of situations. Our tendency is to be depressed or sad when things go wrong. But, we have Jesus to fulfill the promises of Isaiah’s time. Disaster will come to those leaders, nations or powers that bring corruption and poverty to its people.

Even though God is love, He is also both mighty and powerful. When Jesus returns, He will right all wrongs, and all things will be made perfect, as He is perfect. Jesus is the Governor of time. Today is the day to receive Him as the Lord and Savior of your life.

God loves us unconditionally. His love never changes. It’s God’s desire to lead us towards perfection, and completion.
Spending time alone with our wonderful God, is when we’ll hear His council, and receive His strength.

God Himself came for us, and either we believe that or we don’t. Isaiah describes the First and Second coming with such detail that we’re brought to a place of decision. Either His Son Jesus is our Lord and Savior, or He isn’t. But, Jesus Christ is who the Bible says He is, whether we believe it, or not..

Over 700 years before Jesus was born, Isaiah spoke of God’s Son coming down to us. Jesus came to bring salvation. But, in both Isaiah’s time, and in Jesus’ time, His hometown of Nazareth, was despised, unclean and associated with a curse. During the Second Coming, however, it will be a very different story. Jesus will sit on the throne of David, and His government will last forever.
