The Believer's Birthplace - B

February 5, 2018

Daze Of Deception
Jesus warned that deception would grow worse as we draw nearer to the end times, saying, “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4). Distinguishing truth from error has become increasingly challenging—even in the church. We live in a time when falsehoods assault us from every direction. Packaged with just enough truth to make them appear trustworthy, these counterfeits have grown more and more difficult to detect and avoid. Living in the Daze of Deception explores the many ways error is masquerading as truth—and you’ll learn how you can discern the difference.

The birthplace of the believer is heaven. We will not be under a rule book, or the bondage of the law. But, our desires will all be fulfilled in Christ. And, all our human efforts will be simply washed away.

Our life events will reveal who we really are. Our life makes a difference when we have Jesus as our example. So, if you are longing to see someone you know come to salvation, don’t give them a diamond-studded cross, or a gold-leafed Bible. On today’s program, Pastor Jack tells us that whatever our problem or situation is, we are to give it to God. God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. Paul persevered, in public, through sickness and disease, to speak about how we are to receive others in their trials and pain.

Paul urges the believer to obey God’s Word. He goes on to say that life events will reveal who we really are, and how our personal witness matters. God will give us strength even in our weakest moments, and when we need His power the most.

Paul preached a liberating Gospel. So, we must be careful not to return to the dead end of the past, but set our hearts and minds towards the future.
January 25, 2018
Our future is in God’s complete plan. We all used to live for other things. So, Paul repeats his concern that we are not turn again from the grace of Christ to a different works-based gospel.

God has guaranteed our inheritance. The moment we were born again, we went from being slaves to the law, to being sons of God through Christ. And, because Christ secured our salvation, we are heirs of God, and placed in God’s family.

The Christian life is marked by joy.  God redeemed us, who were held captive by the law, and the rules of this world. God was just in time when He sent His Son Jesus, who sets us free, and gives us new life in Him.
